We need to get to work quickly to support and help the working mothers around us.

If you’re a working mother out there right now, I want to say that I see you. If you’re bouncing a baby on your lap during a meeting, or shushing someone away for just a few more minutes to complete a thought or finish an email. Maybe you’re logging off of a meeting early or simply unloading the dishwasher for the 10,000th time…

I want you to know that I see you. The pressure on working mother’s at this moment in history as we work, caregive, parent, homeschool and navigate stressful choices and decisions all under one roof 24/7 is without comparison.

865,000 women left the workforce in September. That’s 80 percent of the total according to the National Women’s Law Center. We need to take a minute to digest this and then we need to get to work quickly to support and help the working mothers around us.

So if you’re hanging on by a thread, I see you. As a friend of mine keeps saying, no one is coming to rescue us. But there are some strategies and tools I believe we can put in your hands to help you develop your own solutions to take back some control even when it seems impossible.

So over the next few weeks, I’ll share some of those strategies here on Après, on Instagram and LinkedIn. Be sure to sign up for our newsletter below, and join us weekly on Tuesdays for our free webinars. You can also subscribe to our podcast! I hope to see you there.
