The Director of Information Security will be responsible for assisting Major League Baseball and its Clubs with the implementation, management and incident response for the league-wide cybersecurity program.

  • Research, identify and evaluate emerging cybersecurity technologies for the league
  • Assist MLB, Club and partner resources in the implementation of the cybersecurity program
  • Perform security audits, risk analysis, network forensics and penetration testing
  • Develop improvement plans that include security gap assessments, policies, procedures, playbooks, training and tabletop testing
  • Prepare cost estimates and identify resource and integration issues
  • Conduct training of cybersecurity resources and end-users
  • Manage incident response efforts involving technology, legal and law enforcement resources
  • Produce detailed incident reports and briefs for management, administrators and end-users
  • Liaise with other cyber threat analysis entities, including law enforcement
  • Five years of experience working in Information Security in an Engineering, Incident Response or Program Management role
  • Demonstrated experience with leading platforms for vulnerability assessment, intrusion/threat detection, forensic analysis, identity management, mobile device management, endpoint security, and monitoring
  • Experience with regulatory compliance programs in the areas of cybersecurity, privacy, confidentiality and data protection
  • Bachelor of Science degree required. Preferred concentrations: Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Digital Forensics
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality while dealing with sensitive information
