Just ask Jacinta C., who returned to work at Facebook after a six-year career break. Jacinta recognized the uphill climb that returning to work presented, “Staying home for six years was often a lonely experience for me—I didn’t have the team-based collaborative work I was used to or the rewards like salary, recognition or days off,” she said.

After working at FB in a contract position, Jacinta landed her dream role on FB Global Marketing team, and quickly learned that Facebook’s culture permeates the day to day life on the job, “There is a lot of empathy on my team for what’s going on outside of work and we’re all helping each other seek that balance, which I love,” she said.
