Operations Manager-Boston, MA
First and foremost, we’re looking for another key member of our team. Someone who is excited by what we’re trying to build at Perspective and is interested in contributing to the discussion around how to disrupt our business and find new and better ways to connect biotech and digital health companies with the right leaders and human capital advisory support. The Operations Manager role is critical to the success of our business.
Facilities and IT Management
- Serve as primary point of contact for building management, facilities landlord, sub-lease tenants, cleaning company, and other service providers
- Manage and maintain office systems and equipment in coordination with external IT-support vendors
- Keep track of office keys and security passes; maintain a current inventory of who has various passes and individual access rights; secure passes for new employees
- Coordinate the IT / technology needs of employees (e.g., ordering new hire computers, etc.)
- Oversee compliance with data privacy and protection policies
Human Resources and Payroll
- Maintain employee directory and organizational chart
- Prepare and process all employee HR-related paperwork (e.g., employee files, benefits processing, etc.)
- Coordinate all payroll functions with the Business Manager to maintain all aspects of employee files, base wages, tax withholding, wage rate and annual or merit increases as indicated
- Manage employee benefit programs including communication to employees of plan details and eligibility requirements, ensuring timely enrollments and terminations, and making certain that employee deductions are recouped
Finance and Accounting
- Work with the business manager on light accounting, expenses, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Support additional ad hoc finance initiatives as needed.
Office Administration and Communications
- Maintain office policies and procedures
- Provide support for general firm communications, such as preparing and disseminating the quarterly announcement and updating the firm’s social media accounts
- Plan fun, engaging office events and team building activities

Computational Scientist-Oak Ridge, TN
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and participate in the development of open source computational science projects for a wide range of topics, including solid mechanics in advanced manufacturing and the irradiation of nuclear materials.
- Develop and contribute to original research including software development and scientific papers.
- Work closely with customers to meet their software requirements, address bugs, and achieve their scientific goals.
- Maintain membership in professional, academic, and research organizations.
REQUIREMENTS
Basic Requirements:
- PhD in a relevant area including computational physics, chemistry, applied math, computer science and engineering.
- 2+ years of computational science experience outside of the degree.
- 5+ years of experience in modern object-oriented programming languages including C++, Java or Python.
- Demonstrated software development experience in computational science, engineering, computer science, or applied math.
Research Software Engineer- Oak Ridge, TN
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to the development of open source software on scientific projects and original research.
- Deploy, maintain, and support web applications, servers, and cloud development platforms in support of scientific projects.
- Work closely with customers to meet their software requirements, address bugs, and achieve their scientific goals.
REQUIREMENTS
Basic Requirements:
- A minimum of a MS Degree in physics, chemistry, computer science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in modern object-oriented programming languages including C++, Java or Python, outside of degree.
- Demonstrated software development experience in computational science, engineering, computer science, or applied math.

RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIREMENTS
