LinkedIn is adding a ‘stay-at-home mom’ title option to its platform, and we want to know what you think. We’ve been having a robust conversation over here about how this term is antiquated (it replaced homemaker and housewife in the ’80s).
Positioning a career gap is a one of the biggest questions we tackle in our weekly webinar events and video workshop series so we know it’s huge that they’re adding caregiver title options — honestly, about time!
The hard work, however, is getting employers to recognize this as valuable time away and seeing folks in this group as work-ready (hello transferrable skills).
So what do you think about the term stay at home mom? Do you wear it with pride or do you prefer caregiver? Check out this article and tell us what you think in the comments here.
