DDG Director of Operations & Finance

Part Time (15-20 hours/week)

Sub-contractor to DDG, INC. Candidate must be able to work as an indipendent contractor to DDG.

Flexible schedule, work from home and DDG’s Office (Union Square, NYC)

This is a newly created part-time position to build and manage a scalable infrastructure, finance and operations process for DDG, a consulting collective. This includes overseeing financial reporting functions including budget, managing clients and vendor partners (our network of consultants), SOWs and ensuring that project work and billings are aligned. The position also manages DDG’s administrative activities including onboarding new vendors, selected provider contracts, and client purchase orders. Additionally this role will create and manage a knowledge database of the skills from the network. S/he will work with team members to support pitches and scope projects. S/he will also develop and/or improve internal systems to support the organization. From time to time, s/he will run special projects and initiatives. The ideal candidate has the ability to identify issues, create efficiencies perform analysis, and work closely with the leadership team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

• Oversee P&L 
for DDG and by client project

• Monitor, track and report on budget versus actual analyses and management reporting through tracking client SOWs and vendor partner work

• Oversee SOWs, from assisting in preparation of new SOWs to management of 
closed deals, including creating standards and best practices. Translate SOW 
details into operations tools and trackers. 
Ideal candidate will be able to develop custom tools and/or make recommendations for 3rd party tools/services.

• Develop and maintain a database of active DDG vendor partners as well as 
potential partners

• Point person for resolution management with vendor partners and clients

• Establish and maintain a repository of DDG proprietary tools and packaged 
solutions

• Create and maintain a database of Case Studies of engagements, for future 
pitches and marketing

• Serve as key contact for onboarding/offboarding vendor partners

• Drive business process and systems integration

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree. MBA is preferred, in Finance a plus

• 10+ years finance/operations experience

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate commitment to meet 
deadlines

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and Google’s Suite of products; working with data or enterprise systems 
(ARIBA / WOI, etc)

• Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills

• Knowledge of Accounting Principles a requirement
