International Women’s Day (“IWD”), the annual commemoration of women’s achievements — socially, economically, culturally, and politically — takes place this year on March 8, 2017, and will be celebrated by people all around the world.  Coming just six weeks after millions of women participated in Women’s Rights Marches, IWD is getting even greater attention this year.  The theme is #BeBoldForChange and brings awareness to the idea that each of us can be a leader in our own way by taking action to accelerate gender parity.

At Après, we are honored to be a part of an amazing community of women who share the common goal of expanding their networks and finding new career opportunities.  We also work hard every day to educate companies about the value of women in the workplace and, to date, we have engaged over 100 companies with an established commitment to hiring women returning to the workforce and increasing gender diversity.

Many of Après’ corporate partners are proudly honoring IWD in different and creative ways and we are thrilled to take this opportunity to showcase just some of the wonderful initiatives being taken to celebrate the day.

Finally, HubSpot is hosting both a Mini Master Class Series in which female leaders conduct hour long Master Classes for HubSpot employees and a Women On Board Evening Event, a public fireside chat on how to take bold risks in your career.
