Last week, we were excited to host What’s Next? An Evening with Après, as a part of the Wharton Club of New York’s Career Speaker Series.
Co-founder Jennifer Gefsky led an engaging discussion about workplace diversity and the resources available to professional women looking to return to the workforce or pivot their career.
Panelists included Cara Costello (The Wharton School), Jenna Bloomgarden (Gravestone Consulting), Marni Strumwasser (JPMorgan Chase & Co), and our CRO, Carolyn McGuire who shared their personal experiences and answered questions from the packed room of Wharton alumnae and friends. - Cara Costello – Director of Alumni Career Management at The Wharton School – provided insight into the breadth of resources offered by Wharton Alumni Career services.
- Jenna Bloomgarden – Vice President, Director of Client Service at Graystone Consulting, WG’96 – participated in Morgan Stanley’s 2015 Return to Work program after taking a 14 year career break and shared insights about her re-entry experience.
- Marni Strumwasser – Vice President and Global Head of Legal Recruiting at JPMorgan Chase & Co., recruiting co-chair for firm-wide ReEntry Program – shared how candidates can be best positioned for success during the recruiting process and beyond.
- Carolyn McGuire – CRO and Head of New Business Development at Après, WG’98 – discussed how she reentered the workforce after a 2 year career break from her role at Goldman Sachs in Sales & Trading, repurposing her skill set in the startup space.
