If you’re like me, you’re already planning well into next year and muttering under your breath, “How is it the end of the year already?” I used to think of the holidays as a time to slow down to gear up, and now I think of them as a time to gear up in order to thrive in January!

How can you best use the natural social interactions over the holiday season to prepare for the change you seek in January? Fran Hauser says it well: “People want to know: What makes you tick? What do you care about? And what are you hoping to do about it in the future?” Be sure to read our holiday do’s and don’ts of networking.

What preparation can you do now to ready you for a full throttle push in January? Set up a few specific coffees and lunches in December. Spend time on your resume and LinkedIn profile. Consider an accountability partner.

Good news! If you are having a hard time answering the above questions, need help polishing your LinkedIn profile, or are looking to rebuild your resume, stay tuned for our full Coaching Circle calendar that we are building through March! These intimate interactive workshops are a great way to work through the details of returning to work or making a career change — I’m there and hope you can join us too.

Best,
Stacey
