Imagine a full-time job that encourages a flexible schedule, offers autonomy from the start, and boasts high growth and earning potential. Sounds too good to be true, right?

Well if you’re entrepreneurial and have real drive, it’s not. Savills Studley – a leading commercial real estate firm representing tenants across the world – is hiring a Senior Sales Associate in New York City to generate new business and liaise with existing clients, on her own time. Emphasis on her.

While the commercial real estate industry has a reputation for being a “boys club,” Savills Studley is dedicated to increasing its gender diversity in 2017, and hiring a woman for the Senior Sales Associate role is a perfect place to start. After all, the position offers the flexibility and opportunity many women look for in a career – and unlike residential real estate, weekends are generally off limits.

“In an industry still dominated by men, there is an opportunity for smart, motivated women to distinguish themselves and form quality relationships with client decision-makers – both men and women.” According to Savills Studley’s Managing Director David Carlos.

The Senior Sales Associate is part of one of Savills Studley’s most successful teams, which handles office leasing for a variety of tenants (law, financial, professional services, etc.) and has the leading specialty in advising non-profit organizations on their real estate. Such clients include the New York Public Library, CUNY, Clinton Global Initiative, Brooklyn Law School, American Red Cross, Bank Street School, The New School, Congregation Habonim, Jewish Theological Seminary, even the United Nations.

This team works on some of the biggest and most complex projects in the City – each one involving a significant strategic component and resulting in creative transactions. In fact, on two occasions the team has been awarded REBNY’s Most Ingenious Deal of the Year Award.

Carlos continues, “Our projects help transform organizations by allowing them to better serve their communities, and our team’s work has been instrumental in securing a better future for these non-profits and for the City overall.”

In this role, you’ll find new business opportunities by engaging your personal network and building a new one, and provide real estate advisory services (such as market research, relocation alternatives, and scenario analysis) to existing clients. Working closely with Savills Studley executives, you’ll also be part of pitch meetings, client presentations, strategy sessions and building tours.

The commercial real estate industry is extremely competitive, so this position requires strong communication and organizational skills, a thirst for success, perseverance and the ability to learn quickly. But no worries if you don’t have direct commercial real estate experience — they’ll help you get up to speed.

In fact, last fall they launched Savills Studley Academy, a mentorship program to help employees reach their full potential. They’ve been named a best place to work in NYC three times by Crain’s New York Business. And what’s more, for years they’ve been a lead sponsor of the Commercial Real Estate Women’s Network, an organization dedicated to advancing the achievements of women in commercial real estate.

“At Savills Studley, we believe our reputation as a top real estate provider of choice is built on the talent and tenacity of our people,” says Anne Marie Lynch, Savills Studley’s SVP of Professional Development. “Our team-oriented nature encourages collaboration and rewards those with an entrepreneurial mindset, creating a culture of success and opportunity for women at every level of our firm.”
