Many women worry that career break will be harmful to their career, when in fact, it can bring a new and fulfilling direction.

Meet Career Changer Tara Mark

For many years, Tara Mark was a massage therapist trained in neuromuscular therapy. She worked for the Chicago Bulls! Après a move to the Bay Area, kids and a break from her early career, a pottery studio opened nearby and she began to create.

Today she not only designs and molds beautiful pieces, she teaches at the local studio a few hours a week! Along the way she learned that massage therapists generally are good at wheel pottery because they have trained hands. Her work brings her and others joy.

Of course everyone’s circumstances for going back to work will be different — life circumstances may demand more than a few hours a week. But per our last message, now is the time to keep moving forward. Employers are struggling to find workers, wages are going UP, and the number of remote jobs has increased dramatically.

If you’re feeling hesitant about what’s next for you, consider watching this amazing coaching session on Discovering Your Purpose and Passion, and think about stepping outside of what you think you should do to try something you want to do.

Stop undervaluing yourself. Small steps can lead to big leaps.
