This female-led Fortune 500 company is headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland but opportunities are all along the East Coast.
Lockheed Martin’s Chapter Next is a 12-16-week paid returnship, that aligns participants with a role that best compliments their skills and abilities. As a “returnship” participant you will become part of a community of similarly experienced professionals with challenging work scopes who are contributing to Lockheed Martin’s culture of innovation. Selected candidates will be exposed to comprehensive training, professional development opportunities, networking opportunities, and individual-based mentoring to support their re-entry.

This returnship position is for an Intern Program Specialist and will be located in one of the following locations: Manassas, VA, Stratford, CT, Owego, NY, Colorado Springs, CO or Moorestown, NJ. As the Intern Program Specialist for Lockheed Martin’s RMS business area, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to support the growing RMS Global Talent Acquisition team on all topics related to the Intern program. In this position the candidate will implement, communicate, and enhance the intern program in alignment with Lockheed Martin’s strategy. The selected individual will contribute to the RMS Global Talent Acquisition organization by working with management to innovate the RMS Summer Intern program, innovate program efforts for RMS’ Co-Op program, focus on creating a quality experience for interns and influencing intern conversions to full time hires. specialized programs, budget management, engage effectively with stakeholders, build relationships across departments and locations.

As the Apprenticeship Program Specialist for Lockheed Martin’s RMS business area, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to support the growing RMS Global Talent Acquisition team on all topics related to the Apprenticeship programs. In this position the successful candidate will implement, communicate, enhance the Apprenticeship program in alignment with Lockheed Martin’s strategy. The selected individual will contribute to the RMS Global Talent Acquisition organization by contributing to different initiatives, engaging effectively with stakeholders, building relationships across departments and locations, and attending assigned apprenticeship recruiting events. Contributing to this program will enhance Lockheed Martin’s commitment to inclusion and diversity through specialized program.
This returnship position is for an engineering returnship and will be located in Stratford, CT. The selected individual will contribute to the Rotors Design Group with the Dynamic Systems organization in the following ways: Training to prepare drawing revisions and create engineering change orders so that they can revise engineering drawings. The release of engineering instructions and specification revisions. Troubleshooting and problem solving of issues from flight testing, fielded aircrafts, or manufacturing. Support manufacturing through the release of drawings and technical data. Your work will be supplied to answer long term field reliability along with urgent technical questions from customers related to Rotors Design. The successful candidate will also support multiple programs at the same time for Rotors Design organization.
This returnship position is for a mechanical design engineer and will be located in Stratford, CT. The selected individual will contribute to the Transmissions Engineering Department by interfacing with manufacturing, quality, and operations to solve complex technical problems. This selected individual will work with the team to improve current processes and drive down cost of our products.
This returnship position is in Software and Quality Assurance and will be located in Owego, NY. The selected individual will contribute to the EQA COE organization by being responsible for review plans and procedures and assist with the implementation/utilization of Quality Assurance across the program. The successful candidate will work with team members to drive implementation of projects, tasks and technical deliverables. This candidate will be responsible for supporting the development, integration and qualification testing of software components, as well as develop, maintain and execute a QA audit schedule.
This returnship position is as Software Quality Engineer and will be located in Orlando, Florida. Reporting to the Engineering Quality Assurance (EQA) Center of Excellence (COE) Manager the selected individual will contribute to the EQA COE organization by providing direct support by assisting in systems/software engineering product reviews, process evaluations, test witness and similar QA related functions and provide support in data analysis, metrics generation & with the corrective action process.
