
We are looking for a swiss army knife Video Editor who is hyper-enthusiastic about taking our brand content and in-motion visual storytelling to a new level. Our ideal candidate should be equally comfortable generating impactful short form snacks as well as honing long form narratives, and passionate about the constantly evolving world of digital/social media. The Video Editor is able to deliver beautiful video and motion content that capitalizes on current cultural trends while defining a point of view unique to the Youth To The People brand.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Creative and Social teams to develop innovative, social-first content from ideation to delivery
- Work closely with Art Director and Creative Director to build strategies for all video content channels and needs to support brand initiatives and/or campaigns
- Ideate, pitch and produce short form video content across all social channels
- Execute all editing, visual effects, coloring, and retouching needs across deliverables
- Assist with in-house content productions and shoots
- Manage quality control and video edit cut-down process with Creative Project and Social Media Manager(s)
- Drive brand vision with original storytelling and content capture across content
- Identify and evolve best practices across motion content capture for both in-house and collaborator teams
- Create and manage a streamlined process and workflow between key stakeholders from Creative and Social/DTC teams
- Highly generative collaborations with external content creators
Requirements
- 4-6 years experience in video editing/production
- Exceptional eye for detail and knowledge of composition, lighting, cinematography, and audio
- Keen grasp on typography + layout, with motion graphic knowledge a big plus
- Top-tier visual storytelling skills
- Ability to iterate and expand on established concepts + directions
- Collaborative yet generative working style
- Self motivated, team player mentality
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills; able to handle multiple priorities
- Ability to be flexible and agile with constant changes and time restraints
- Experience working in smaller, high-growth company is a plus
- Experience setting up studio and on location shoots a plus
Proficient in: Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects, Cinema4D or Maya experience a plus
